NCEP Tropical Hazards global map shows the reasonable strength MJO min Phases 4-5 north of Australia in the Maritime Continent. Due to seasonality, the MJO influence doesn’t penetrate into the Australian region and instead, maintains its presence along the equator and further into the Northern Hemisphere.
